A man and woman have been arrested over the death of Ava-May Littleboy, three, who was thrown from an inflatable trampoline on a Norfolk beach.

The pair, both in their 40s, are being held on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter after the girl suffered the fall on Sunday 1 July.

She died in hospital from a head injury.

The man and woman, who have not been named, are awaiting questioning at Great Yarmouth Police station.

Ava-May was on an inflatable trampoline on the Lower Esplanade in Gorleston in Suffolk when she was thrown into the air.

She was the only person on the attraction when eyewitnesses said they heard a “loud bang” and it “apparently burst”.

Her family said after her death: “She was not your ordinary little girl, as anyone she met, she would leave a lasting impression on.

“Anyone that met her would not want to forget her.

“Her infectious laugh and smile could light up even the darkest of rooms.”
