Matt Chandler, lead pastor on the Village Church, Texas, argued in a latest video why some Christians have a flawed impression of what occurs within the afterlife.

The video, revealed final week by the Village Church on YouTube, is entitled “Why We Do not Go to Heaven within the Finish,” with Chandler admitting that he had the flawed impression himself when he was rising up.

“I grew up with an understanding that after I died, I might go to Heaven, and that was the top of the story. That I used to be in Heaven, and was gonna be within the presence of God, and we have been gonna sing and there have been going to be streets of gold, and there is going to be a crystal sea.”

He stated that he believed that within the afterlife, he was going to be in a “disembodied, ethereal atmosphere, the place the Spirit of God was there, God was there in His fullness.”
