A lady in her early 20s has been killed by a suspected hit-and-run driver in south London.

She was struck by a automotive “travelling at velocity” within the early hours of Saturday morning, and was pronounced lifeless on the scene.

Detectives consider a dark-coloured VW – probably a Golf – was concerned.

Police had been referred to as to the junction of Brixton Hill and Dumbarton Street at about 12.30am.
