A 21-year-old lady has been arrested in reference to an alleged homophobic assault in Hull.
Humberside Police started an investigation following experiences an 18-year-old lady had been assaulted within the metropolis, after photos of her bloodied face emerged on social media.
The girl’s sister mentioned she had been focused as a result of she was a lesbian.
On Tuesday, Humberside Police mentioned: “A 21-year-old lady has been arrested in reference to an alleged assault on one other lady in Hull which we at the moment are investigating as a hate crime.
“It occurred on Swannage Stroll yesterday afternoon Monday eight July.
“An 18-year-old lady was allegedly assaulted between 3pm and 4pm and sustained facial accidents which wanted hospital therapy.
“The arrested lady who’s from Hull has been arrested on suspicion of precise bodily hurt and possessing a managed drug.
“She stays in our custody.”
